CNEC-Cherokee Nation Education Corporation Scholarship Program

CNEC Scholarship Program has Expanded through generous donor contributions for Cherokee Tribal Citizens in the following designated awards:

Harold "Jiggs" Phillips Memorial Award-For graduates of an Adair County High School

James R. Upon Memorial Award-for high school graduates and residents of Cherokee County

John Shurr Journalism Award-for an undergraduate of graduate student with a a major in journalism or mass communications. 

Marquis Award for two undergraduate, bilingual students enrolled in the Northeastern State University's Cherokee Language Degree Program

Nell D. Brown Memorial Award for an undergraduate or graduate student in history, anthropology, archeology with an emphasis on American Indian or Cherokee Studies

Red Clay Award for active JOM students in a high school within the Cherokee Nation jurisdiction. 

Tribal Council Award for high school graduates who reside outside the Cherokee Nation jurisdiction.
